Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Ø  Customer Relationship

·       Provide outstanding customer service:

·       Follow-up on deliveries returns and refunds (Order taking done by Retail Sales Merchandisers). Client’s stock levels remain Senior Sales Representative’s responsibility.

·       Ensure that all customers are being visited as per scheduled route

·       Be solution provided to handle clients’ complaints within 24 hours.

·       Responsible for focusing on the acquisition and retention of clients.

Ø  Account management:

  • Manage client portfolio: monitor sales figures per Brand on a yearly and monthly basis, identify client’s needs

(i) Ensure Listing of actual and new item lines within product portfolio.

(ii) Monitor debtors, credit terms and limits within a sound risk assessment.

(iii) Identify and seize opportunities available for business development

(iv) Monitor merchandising: visibility and respect of clauses as per deal and trade visits reports from Management.

(v) Plan, organise, implement end-of-month and one-offs promotions followed by appropriate debrief & Reporting according to company’s standards and guidelines.

(vi) Respect all sales procedures and processes as set by the Management.

  • Follow up Trade Activations on the floor as per standards / Guidelines from Brand Manager in terms of planograms.

Maintain profitability by using expenses efficiently and monitoring expenses (discount, advertising/donation, vehicle and petrol usage)

Secondary Responsibilities:

·       Report market activity to management.

·       Demonstrate team spirit and commitment towards company objectives, team members including Trade Marketers, merchandisers and any other stakeholder involved in the selling process.

Qualification /Experience required

·       HSC or Diploma in Commercial

·       At least 3 years’ experience in similar position

·       Proficiency in Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

·       Excellent speaking and writing skills (English and French)

·       ·        Be analytical & solution-driven (Ability to develop strategies, set marketing actions and apply commercial techniques (promotions, animations, highlight products: TG, podium, prospectus)

·       Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

·       Have good interpersonal skills and able to communicate well with others.
