Job Description

In this Treasury Trainee position

  • Analyze and resolve complex issues related to processes and activities by adapting standard methods or by practical applications of knowledge
  • Deliver cross-departmental process improvement projects (e.g. represent own area, collect data, run an analysis)
  • Maintain contact and relationships with banks, cash management service providers and other relevant financial institutions
  • To build and maintain partnership with counterparts on country, regional and global levels
  • To ensure timely, accurate and complete financial reports are prepared in accordance with DHL policies
  • Draft and implement review and approval of payments on bank portal
  • Support the regional team with TRS projects
  • Timely resolve escalated issues - Develop strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with Stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain relationships and serve as a contact for external and internal stakeholders e.g. banks, financial institutions and other financial community members
  • Assist with any ad hoc duties to ensure the smooth running of the department as required
  • Analyze and recommend changes / improvements in the Treasury guidelines and processes
  • Adherence to payment related internal controls
  • Ensure compliance to processes and activities with laid down policies, standards regulations and laws
  • Allocation and analysis of transitory accounts
  • Send payment proposal to countries on weekly basis
  • Execute payments in bank portal
  • Follow up on payments – if not cleared in bank
  • Posting of bank statement daily
  • Perform cash & bank reconciliation
