Job Description

Key Responsibilities


1. Core Responsibilities

  • Execute trades across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, funds, FX and other instruments as applicable).
  • Ensure timely and accurate trade execution in line with portfolio manager instructions, while attending to trade related queries.
  • Monitor and manage open orders and communicate status to portfolio managers when required.

2. Trade Accuracy, Post Trade Recon & Counterparty Engagement

  • Manage relationships and liaise with dealers, custodians, and counterparties, particularly on trade related matters.
  • Ensure accurate trade capture, allocation, and settlement instructions.
  • Perform pre and post trade checks, ensuring adherence to guidelines and policies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of trade instructions and trade allocation.
  • Conduct trade reconciliations and assist in resolving execution or settlement breaks, including operational follow ups.
  • Support portfolio transitions and rebalancing exercises.

3. Risk, Compliance, Governance & Market Oversight

  • Identify and escalate trading and operational risk/issues for timely remediation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of trading and operational processes.
  • Support compliance and risk management requirements related to trading activity.
  • Keep abreast of market developments and demonstrate an interest in Anchor Capital’s investment products and prevailing investment philosophy.
  • Ensure strong service standards and adherence to ethical and integrity principles in line with Anchor Capital policies.


Key Requirements


 Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics or a related field.
  • Relevant working experience is required, including 1-2 years’ experience in a trading role in an investment management or asset/wealth management environment.
  • Practical exposure to trading platforms and market data systems (e.g. Iress, TradingView, Bloomberg) is an advantage.

 Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for trade compilation, data processing and operational record keeping, with strong command of standard office productivity tools.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, portfolio managers and other internal stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and good organisational skills.
