Job Overview

Hirez Manpower Solutions Inc. is currently hiring a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator on behalf of our client. This position involves supporting outdoor projects and facility development by operating heavy equipment such as excavators and skid steers for site preparation, material movement, grading, and construction support.

We are seeking an experienced, safety-focused, and dependable individual who is comfortable working independently in outdoor environments and takes pride in maintaining equipment and delivering quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators and skid steers safely and efficiently
• Perform site preparation, grading, trenching, and material handling tasks
• Load, move, and distribute soil, gravel, and construction materials
• Assist with outdoor construction and infrastructure development projects
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance checks
• Identify and report any mechanical or operational issues
• Follow all workplace safety standards and site protocols
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience operating excavators and skid steers
• Strong understanding of heavy equipment safety procedures and job site operations
• Ability to perform grading, leveling, trenching, and material movement tasks
• Mechanically inclined with basic equipment maintenance knowledge
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively
• Physically capable of working extended hours when required
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety

Required Certifications / Experience

• Valid driver’s license
• Prior experience operating heavy equipment (excavator and skid steer required)
• Equipment certification or formal operator training is considered an asset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction, landscaping, or site development
• Familiarity with agricultural or facility-based operations
• Mechanical repair or troubleshooting experience
