Job Description

Leal & Co Ltd is hiring an Accounts Officer for its Finance department.

 MAIN FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare and update accounting records and ensuring accuracy thereof.
  • Assist in the preparation of Management accounts and end of year financial statements.
  • Supervise cash & banking deposits.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of cash tills and proper transfer of receipts.
  • Proper recording of invoices on the accounting software and systematic filing of all documents.
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain accounting records, reports, and documents (journal entries, account payable invoices, account cheques etc.) in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Filing of monthly returns.

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  

  • Higher School Certificate
  • ACCA Level 1
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position and/or accounting field


SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  •  Good communication skills
  • Strong team spirit
  • Good organizational skills
  • Well versed in accounting software
  • Extensive knowledge of excel would be an advantage
