Job Description
1. POSITION PURPOSE
The Senior IT Technician -Infrastructure & Systems Support is responsible for overseeing and supporting
the organisation’s IT infrastructure, systems, and technical operations across all business units. The role
ensures the reliability, maintenance, security, and operational continuity of IT equipment, networks,
servers, surveillance systems, and end-user support services.
The position is also responsible for supervising IT Technicians, coordinating technical interventions,
supporting operational departments, and ensuring that all technology systems function efficiently to
support business operations.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
IT Infrastructure & Systems Management
• Maintain, monitor, and support the Company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, switches,
routers, and related systems.
• Ensure stability, performance, and security of IT systems across all operational sites.
• Monitor server health, backups, storage systems, and network connectivity.
• Assist in infrastructure upgrades, system improvements, and implementation of new technologies.
• Coordinate installation and configuration of IT hardware and software.
Network & IP Configuration
• Configure and maintain IP addressing, network access, internet connectivity, and related network
infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues across offices, operational sites, and remote systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of Wi-Fi networks, VLANs, switches, and firewalls where applicable.
• Monitor and maintain network security practices and access controls.
CCTV & Surveillance Systems
• Oversee installation, setup, and maintenance of CCTV and surveillance systems across Company
premises.
• Ensure cameras, recording systems, and monitoring equipment remain operational at all times.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and technical interventions related to surveillance infrastructure.
• Support Management regarding surveillance access and system requirements where authorised.
Technical Support & End User Assistance
• Provide technical support to employees regarding computers, printers, software, email accounts,
phones, and operational systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare and deploy PCs, laptops, and IT equipment for new employees and operational departments.
• Ensure proper maintenance and inventory control of IT assets and equipment.
IT Operations & Maintenance
• Conduct preventive maintenance of IT equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure operational continuity of systems critical to business operations.
• Maintain documentation of IT systems, interventions, passwords, inventories, and configurations where
authorised.
• Coordinate with external IT providers or suppliers where required.
Supervision & Team Coordination
• Supervise and guide IT Technicians and support staff in daily operations.
• Allocate technical tasks and monitor completion of interventions.
• Ensure timely response to operational IT requests and incidents.
• Support the development of IT procedures and operational standards.
Security & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to Company IT policies, data protection measures, and cybersecurity practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of Company systems and operational data.
• Report major system failures, risks, or security incidents to Management promptly.
