Job Description
This role drives accommodation, corporate, leisure, group, and MICE revenue through proactive sales activity, relationship management, and strategic account development. The Sales Executive works across both Corporate and Leisure market segments, with priorities set by the Commercial Leader in line with business needs and market opportunities. The Sales Executive may also attend trade shows and events with the Corporate Sales Manager or Commercial Leader to promote the hotel and its services.
· Uses software applications and communication tools effectively to collect, organise, and analyse market information that supports lead generation and sales activity.
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date pipeline, account, and opportunity records in approved sales systems.
· Identifies, qualifies, and pursues new business opportunities in line with target segments and hotel strategy.
· Develops and executes account plans for assigned corporate, leisure, group, and MICE accounts to increase market share and revenue contribution.
· Manages sales processes and systems that support revenue generation and help ensure guests are accommodated to hotel standards.
· Uses property management systems and related tools to monitor guest preferences and support targeted sales and promotional activity.
· Ensures all enquiries are handled promptly and that accurate quotations are issued within the required timeframe.
· Prepares commercially sound proposals, quotations, rate agreements, and account documentation that are accurate, timely, and aligned with approval guidelines.
· Coordinates with Reservations, Revenue, Front Office, and operational teams to ensure smooth conversion, handover, and delivery of business.
· Supports the Commercial Leader in ensuring that third-party distributors are contracted correctly and aligned with approved commission structures.
· Works with the Commercial Leader to prepare accurate revenue, daily pick-up, sales activity, and strategy adjustment reports within the required deadlines.
· Delivers professional sales presentations, site inspections, and client meetings that promote the hotel’s value proposition effectively.
· Maintains ongoing relationships with key clients to drive repeat business, referrals, and long-term account value.
· Contributes to the effective performance of the hotel’s sales function.· Supports strong guest service delivery by working with third-party distributors on matters that affect bookings and the guest experience.
· Works with relevant teams and specialists to ensure that policies, processes, and standards reflect guest safety, security, and service preferences.
· Helps implement and maintain processes that support personalised service delivery by the sales team.
· Supports the implementation and monitoring of processes that protect the confidentiality and security of information.
Works with the Commercial Leader to ensure that strategies, policies, processes, and standards affecting Sales and Reservations are documented and communicated clearly.
· Understands, follows, and applies relevant quality standards, policies, processes, rules, and procedures.
· Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve quality standards in both the Sales function and hotel operations.
· Reviews guest feedback reports, identifies improvement opportunities, and works with department teams to improve related metrics.
· Works with the Commercial Leader to evaluate the performance of distribution partners and rate strategies across relevant segments.
· Assists in developing pricing strategies that reflect the positioning and commercial priorities of the hotel.
· Supports the assessment and analysis of group pricing strategies with the Commercial Leader.
· Regularly reviews the accuracy and quality of market data, including segmentation and denials tracking.
Requirements:
5 Years of experience in the Sales operations of a 4-Star hotel
Degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management / Financial Management
Extensive Background in Sales
