KITCHEN COORDINATOR (Kitchen Admin & Operations)
ABOUT ECOSHE
Ecoshe is looking for a highly organized and proactive Kitchen Coordinator to support our growing plant-based operations.
At Ecoshe, we promote sustainability through food, working with hotels, businesses, and communities to transform the way people experience plant-based cuisine, also known as vegan cuisine.
KEY RESPPONSIBILITIES
Kitchen Administration
- Maintain and organize recipes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), production sheets, schedules, costing, and documentation
- Ensure all records are accurate, updated, and properly maintained
Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels and ingredient usage
- Prepare and place orders with suppliers
- Track deliveries and ensure accuracy
- Minimize waste and manage stock rotation using FIFO
Production Coordination
- Assist in planning daily and weekly production
- Ensure ingredients and materials are available on time
- Coordinate effectively between the kitchen team and management
Supplier & Purchasing Management
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and orders
- Compare costs and ensure best value
- Follow up on deliveries and resolve issues as needed
Compliance & Hygiene
- Maintain food safety records, including HACCP documentation and cleaning logs
- Ensure the kitchen complies with hygiene and food safety standards
Operational Support
- Support the chef by coordinating logistics and driving to locations as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Business Administration or minimum 2–4 years of experience in kitchen operations, food production, or an administrative role
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Tech-savvy
- Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, and other Google Workspace tools
- Comfortable working with CRM platforms such as HubSpot
- Strong leadership abilities with a proactive, initiative-driven approach
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Experience in food environments is a strong advantage
- Valid driving license required
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
- Food Safety / HACCP
- Training in inventory management, purchasing, or costing
