Job Description

TotalEnergies Marketing Mauritius Ltd is looking for a Lubricants Sales Representative to provide tailored lubrication recommendations, stay updated on lubricant specifications, and consistently follow up with General Trade customers to achieve sales targets. 

Key Responsibilities:

The main duties and responsibilities of the role include the following:-

  • Responsible for customer after- sales requirements (e.g. used oil analysis).
  • Provide Lubricants Sales Manager with qualitative information with respect to all deviations from objectives.
  • Make regular visits to all customers and submit visit reports to Manager.
  • Develop and implement plans to boost lubricants sales, including new products.
  • Maintain all customers within the authorized credit terms and make recommendations for credit terms to be applied.
  • Ensure timely collection of dues to maintain TAR within objective.
  • Set realistic sales objectives for all accounts.
  • Recommend to Lubricants Sales Manager adequate levels of discount/credit terms & block order release.
  • Update supervisor regularly on competitor activity/pricing levels.
  • Make recommendations to Lubricants Sales Manager about pricing levels.
  • Make recommendations to Lubricants Sales Manager on advertising and sales promotion matters.
  • Recommend marketing investment programs requirements for customers.
  • Assist in the development, preparation and implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Ensure customer compliance to contract requirements.
  • Follow up routine requirements of all accounts.
  • Initiate plans for new product introduction as may be required by the market.
  • Conduct business within the framework of the Affiliate’s core business policies.
  • Maintain Customer Master Records.
  • Stock input in plant system.
  • Sponsorship/ procurement/ quotation/ appraisal of General Trade customers.
  • Delivery of bulk lubricants.
  • Stock input in plant system.
  • Provide support in managing customer complaints.

Candidate profile
  • University degree in Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Technical and selling skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing environment.
  • Good knowledge of Mauritian roads.
  • Customer service awareness
