Job Advert – Assistant Production Supervisor

Meaders Feeds Ltd is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join its Production Department as Assistant Production Supervisor.

 

Job Description

The selected candidate will assist the Shift Supervisor in coordinating all production activities within the Company. The incumbent will support the planning, coordination, control, reporting, and record keeping of round-the-clock operations in the Production Department.

 

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Production Supervisor will assist the Shift Supervisor in:

• Planning manufacturing processes to optimize production within existing resources
• Preparing production, examination, and personnel reports for submission to the Production Manager
• Reviewing processing schedules and production orders to determine work procedures and daily assignments
• Monitoring team attendance during shifts and reporting any absence or lateness to the Production Supervisor
• Checking the status of the Daily Production Plan for completion and identifying items to be carried forward to the next shift
• Printing labels for packaging and finished products
• Preparing reports as and when required

 

Requirements & Skills

• HSC or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment will be an advantage
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Computer literate with knowledge of reporting systems and Microsoft Office tools
• Willingness to work on shifts
