Job Description
The Workshop Assistant
shall undertake various tasks pertaining to golf course maintenance. The
incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance of the golf machines. He/She
will work in a team , operate various machines and work on different tasks on
the related to the golf course.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment.
- Daily issuing of fuels for all equipment and record keeping.
- Daily spot checks of equipment on site and makes any necessary adjustments.
- Oversees workshop area and maintains a well-presented workshop.
- Assists in any operation on the golf course when needed.
- Set up of all cutting units to correct height and quality of cut.
- Monitors usage of course machinery consumables.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of maintenance of greens, fairways and roughs.
- Knowledge of use of golf operating standards equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of safe use, mixing and application of chemicals products.
- Knowledge of the game of golf, golf rules and methods of play.
