Job Description
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The IT Officer is expected to act in the best interest of the Radisson Hotel Group, its hotels, its owners and its partners.
The IT Officer will be a trusted member of the IT team and Hotel /
business unit due to his/her access to confidential
data, offices, systems, etc. He or she is expected to secure the systems and trade secrets against
unsolicited problems.
The IT Officer is subject to all general rules and regulations issued by
the Radisson Hotel Group and must as such ensure
all decisions are in accordance with said.
He or she must actively participate in discussions regarding systems
functionality etc. defend the systems deployed and
seek methods to make the best out of existing systems. In
cases where the existing systems are unable to support the operations
satisfactory, the IT Officer will liaise with the Cluster Director of IT and IT Supervisor.
In case of a system breakdown or other systems interruptions, he or she
will first of all inform the users and then support them trying to help them
overcome the problem best possible. He or she will also liaise closely with the
IT Supervisor and Cluster Director of IT to solve the cases as fast as possible
according to the matrix defined in the “IT Service Level Agreement” document.
The IT Officer will not discuss about trade secrets, guest’s information
or proprietary technologies or IT operational methodologies outside of the
company or other staffs who do not need to know about such information.
Ensure that paper works are done such as filing, invoice submission to
finance, attendance, intervention
reports from vendors, reports, etc are completed on time.
Comply with the IT Department’s Policies and Standard Operating
Procedures (SOP).
Apply the Radisson Hotel Group
documented Hotel IT Activities in accordance with Corporate IT policies.
A snap shot of Operational
activities includes:
Ensure daily operation of all
installed systems, i.e. giving the system users the agreed
system availability and quality of operation.
Verify and Perform daily data and
system back-up’s including regular recovery tests from disks,
cloud, and tapes.
Perform periodic tasks, such as
disk space monitoring and housekeeping, night audit, month-end procedures etc.
according to established check-lists (daily weekly, monthly etc.).
Perform periodic preventive
maintenance is carried out according to specified recommendations from the
systems/equipment manufacturer and Corporate IT.
Daily verification of the
functioning of the guest High Speed Internet service, and related
systems as designated by IT Supervisor and Cluster Director of IT.
Provide out of office support, if
there is an urgent case as per the “IT Service Level Agreement-Priority 1-page
listing”.
Provide IT-related assistance to
guests visiting for purposes such as workshops or staying at
the hotel.
A snap shot of user
maintenance activities includes:
Maintain individual user accounts
with authorisation levels in accordance with Radisson Hotel Group IT Policies and
Standards.
Ensure password policies are
implemented and followed.
Periodic review of user accounts
to ensure alignment with current assignment.
Apply all Radisson Hotel Group documented Hotel IT Activities in accordance with Corporate IT policies.
A snap shot of user supporting
activities include:
Device support (PC, mobile
devices, POS stations etc.), including clean up, disk defragmentation,
etc.

CRITERIA

A relevant certificate
or diploma from a recognized institution.
