Job Description

Seeking a Technical Business Application Specialist to support, integrate, and enhance critical business applications and systems.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Business Application Specialist who will be responsible for the technical configuration, integration, and ongoing support of business applications. The role will involve managing system setups, troubleshooting application issues, handling upgrades and enhancements, and ensuring applications remain secure, reliable, and performant. The successful candidate will work closely with functional teams and IT stakeholders to translate technical requirements into effective solutions that support business operations and scalability.

Responsibilities
  • Provide training to fellow team members on project rollouts, latest technologies and assist with their development.
  • Perform day-to-day tasks related to data analytics and improving exhaustiveness and quality of data, including the integration of multiple systems.
Application Development and Implementation
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of IT applications that support various business functions, such as ERP systems, CRM, HRIS, financial systems, Power BI, JetReport and more.
  • Ensure that all applications are scalable, reliable, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and facilitate seamless integration between different applications.
Data Analysis
  • Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data.
  • Work with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.
  • Create or enhance Power BI dashboards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • BSc in Computer Science Engineering, or relevant software/computer related fields.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position would be an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude
  • Knowledge of CRM tools and/or Power BI constitutes a plus.
  • Good analytical skills to bring high-level and complex customer issues to resolution.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • A team player and willing to learn.
Technical Application Specialist
  • Exposure to object-oriented programming (C#, .NET).
  • Familiar with SQL and an understanding of relational database systems.
