Job Description

Company Description

We’re Checkout.com - you might not know our name, but we’re behind many of the digital experiences people use every day.

When you book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription or check out online with brands like Spotify, Klarna, Uber Eats, TikTok, Sony, or eBay, there’s a good chance our technology powers the payment behind the scenes.

At Checkout.com, we’re building where the world checks out - enabling over ten billion transactions every year for more than one billion shoppers globally. Our platform helps the world’s most ambitious businesses deliver seamless digital experiences at scale.

We’re also building a company designed for people who want to do career-defining work. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and a focus on impact.

We are looking for a hands-on, highly technical Data Analytics Manager - Finance to join our global Finance function. This role is a critical intersection between technical data architecture and financial strategy. You will lead a team of analysts to transform raw financial data into a "single source of truth," driving predictability in our finance department working across verticals such as Finance Operations, Group Financial Controllers, FP&A, Tax, TPRM etc.

As our CEO Guillaume Pousaz says, "High performance is a science, not an accident." You will be the lead scientist for our financial data. You will own the data pipelines, architect scalable models in BigQuery, and act as a strategic bridge between Finance, Engineering, and Revenue Operations. This requires the candidate to be a really strong collaborator, engaging deeply with the Product and Engineering teams. Given the global nature of our operations, occasional flexibility in working hours may be required, as some data becomes available post close of business for local hours.

What you will be doing

  • Data Architecture & Strategy: Act as the technical owner of the Finance data ecosystem. You will oversee the design and execution of robust data pipelines using dbt, BigQuery, and Snowflake to ensure our financial processes are efficient, scalable and real-time.

  • Financial Reporting & BI: Lead the development of sophisticated, automated dashboards in Looker or other visualization tools. You will move the needle from manual processes to data-backed predictability, ensuring leadership has a clear view of trading activity, financial reporting, and financial OKRs. #NoRoomForApproximation

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and develop a team of Finance Data Associates. You will foster our "Human Operating System" by coaching your team to bridge the gap between technical execution and business impact.

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the Heads of various verticals, such as Finance Operations, Group Financial Controllers, Tax, FP&A, TPRM etc. You will translate complex financial requirements into technical specifications and present analytical findings to global stakeholders.

  • AI & Innovation: Lead the exploration of AI and predictive analytics to improve financial forecasting. You will evaluate new tools and methodologies to keep our finance tech stack at the cutting edge. #PaceMatters

  • Building the future: You will lead in building a more intelligent finance function, moving the needle from manual workflows to automated AI and Machine Learning systems for reconciliations and anomaly detection. By leveraging predictive analytics, you will transform static reporting into sophisticated models for processes such as cash flow, reconciliations, revenue forecasting. You will ensure high standards of data integrity through rigorous AI governance while evolving our tech stack to eliminate friction. #PaceMatters

About You

  • Experience: 5+ years in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role—ideally within Fintech, Payments, or Banking.

  • Technical Architect: You are an expert in SQL and the modern data stack (BigQuery, Snowflake, and dbt). You don't just pull data; you build the systems that house it.

  • Quantitative Foundation: A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field. You bring rigorous analytical thinking to complex financial modeling.

  • Data Storyteller: Advanced proficiency in Looker (or similar BI tools) and Google Sheets. You can distill complex, "messy" data into clear, actionable narratives for non-technical executives.

  • Global Collaborator: You thrive in a distributed environment, working seamlessly across time zones (Mauritius, Estonia, London) and cultures.

Bonus Points: Practical experience with Python/R for predictive financial modeling or prior experience in Treasury/Enterprise Finance analytics.
