Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including electrical work, plumbing, metal work, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems. The role requires a hands-on professional with strong problem-solving abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to ensuring that all facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing installations, metal structures, and HVAC equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, HVAC units, wiring, fixtures, and plumbing installations.
- Carry out preventive maintenance on air conditioning and ventilation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Carry out welding, fabrication, and other metal works as required.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain a log of repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other team members when specialized services are required.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Officer, Technician, or in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems is essential.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, metal works, and building maintenance.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to handle emergency maintenance outside normal working hours.
- Certification in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or a related technical field is an advantage.
- Valid manual driver's licence is an advantage.
- The candidate must be physically fit.
