Summary

We are hiring a reliable and organized Cashier for a nursery. The role involves handling sales, managing stock and product displays (plants, soil, fertilizers and other related merchandise) and delivering good customer service while ensuring smooth sales transactions.

Duties and responsibilities

·        Process purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system.

·        Handle various payment methods (cash, card, mobile payments).

·        Reconcile daily sales, manage receipts, and ensure financial accuracy.

·        Maintain a tidy cashier area and provide courteous, efficient service.

·        Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor promptly.

·        Oversee the organization, display, and replenishment of non-plant inventory (e.g., pots, soil, tools, fertilizers etc).

·        Assist in planning promotions and improving product visibility to boost sales.

·        Monitor stock levels, coordinate reorders, and maintain accurate inventory records.

·        Ensure the sales area is clean, well-organized, and customer-friendly.

·        Provide product knowledge and advice to customers.

·        Keep accurate cash and sales records.

·        Process the department’s filing following the established procedures.

Minimum experience requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a business to business environment.

Minimum education requirements

High School Certificate ‘A’ Level preferred
