Job Description
Job Purpose
This role is concerned with planning, managing, and controlling financial resources, including managing records and information related to business finances and report thereon.
The
Senior Finance Officer will also be responsible to provide guidance and
mentorship to ensure the success of the team members.
Main Duties
- Prepare monthly and annual financial
reporting
- Review and reconcile bank accounts, disbursements,
and intercompany balances
- Manage accounts receivable – centralized
billing and accounts payable processes
- Process payments accurately and within
deadline
- Participate in review processes to ensure
quality and accuracy of all tasks
- Take ownership of assigned tasks,
ensuring deadlines are met and suspense accounts are cleared
- Liaise and attend calls with servicing
offices
- Oversee banking transactions of various
jurisdiction, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Support the day-to-day operations of the
finance department
- Supervise and mentor junior finance team
members
- Maintain strong internal controls and
ensure compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to align objectives with business goal
Qualification, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting,
or related field
- ACCA qualification (in progress) is an
advantage
- 4 -7 years
of experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a senior
financial role.
- Strong understanding of financial
principles, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership
skills.
- Ability to manage and develop a team of
finance professionals.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and
able to work under pressure.
- Strong technical skills with a focus on
process improvement
