Job Description

Our sister Company SIP & Co. Ltd is recruiting a Quality Officer in a food production. Responsible in making sure products are safe, consistent, and meet both legal and customer standards. Their responsibilities usually cover several areas:

1. Food Safety & Compliance
They ensure the facility follows food safety systems like HACCP and complies with regulations set by authorities such as the Food and Agriculture Organization or local food safety bodies.
This includes monitoring hygiene practices, sanitation, and preventing contamination.
2. Quality Control & Inspection
They regularly check raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications. This can involve:
Visual inspections
Sampling and testing
Verifying product labeling and packaging
3. Documentation & Record Keeping
A big part of the job is maintaining accurate records:
Batch records
Inspection reports
Non-conformance reports
Corrective actions
These records are essential for audits and traceability.
4. Audits & Certification
They prepare for and participate in internal and external audits for standards like ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 22000 for food safety).
They also ensure corrective actions are implemented after audits.
5. Training & Staff Awareness
They train staff on:
Hygiene practices
Food safety procedures
Proper handling of equipment and materials
Keeping everyone aware reduces risks in production.
6. Handling Non-Conformities
If something goes wrong (e.g., contamination, wrong labeling), they:
Investigate the issue
Identify the root cause
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
7. Supplier & Raw Material Control
They assess and approve suppliers, ensuring raw materials meet required quality and safety standards.
8. Continuous Improvement
They analyze trends (complaints, defects, test results) and suggest improvements to processes, equipment, or procedures to enhance quality and efficiency

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP certification is an advantage)
  • Previous experience in a central kitchen, food production, or hospitality environment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication and reporting abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment      
  • Available to work Monday to Friday 7hrs to 17hrs
