Cernol Ltd is recruiting a Sales Assistant for its shop in the north. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, managing stock, maintaining the shop's presentation, and handling all cashier-related transactions efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products.
• Provide product information, advice, and recommendations.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a courteous and timely manner.
• Ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer.

Sales & Merchandising

• Replenish shelves, rotate stock, and ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and according to guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or damaged items to the supervisor.
• Participate in regular stock-taking activities.

Cashier Duties

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for cash, card, and mobile payments.
• Process sales transactions, issue receipts, and handle returns or exchanges.
• Reconcile cash drawers and ensure accuracy at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Maintain proper security of all cash and payment information.

General Store Maintenance

• Keep the shop clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures.
• Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum School Certificate or Equivalent
• Prior experience in retail or cashiering is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic numeracy and computer skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Honest, punctual, and customer-focused
• Have a valid Motorcycle License
