Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, appliances, devices and other electrical systems.
- Connect wiring works to circuit breakers, transformers and other components.
- Respond quickly to all service requests for diagnosing malfunctioning of electrical systems to locate root cause of breakdown and repair the problem promptly.
- Design and install Wide Area Networks (WAN), Local Area Networks (LAN), and Cable TV/ Telephony System and ensure that they work together to create a successful network.
- Perform preventive maintenance to avoid breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring, circuits and insulated cables etc.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facilities to identify and address maintenance needs across plumbing and electrical systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, fixtures, and drainage systems.
- Identify and resolve plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and water pressure problems.
- Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, floors, and other structural components.
- Utilise and store all parts, equipment and tools properly.
- Comply with all safety standards & procedures and OSHA 2005.
- Prepare weekly/monthly management report on work schedules and job cards.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate:
- Either a Level 2 Technical Certificate in a vocational training school or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years’ practical experience working an electrician, plumber, and/or handyman, with a strong understanding of systems and fixtures of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Demonstrate ability to use electrical/hand tools and read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA 2005 and safety procedures.
- Excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work odd hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Holder of a clean valid driving license.
