Job Description

The role will be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls, while providing timely and reliable financial information to support management decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Accounts Officer should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, maintaining strict confidentiality, and upholding high standards of financial governance and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Creditors

  1. Process supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and bank transfers.
  2. Prepare and reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  3. Maintain vendor files and respond to supplier queries.
  4. Record transactions accurately in Navision and allocate payments accordingly.
  5. Assist with VAT returns and fixed asset register (including depreciation).
  6. Ensure compliance with internal controls, QMS, CRM, and MIS systems.

Accounts Receivable

  1. Raise invoices, prepare statements of account, and follow up on payments.
  2. Record deposits and maintain proper filing of supporting documentation.
  3. Capture lease entries and manage insurance-related SOAs.
  4. Create supplier accounts and process purchase orders as per internal procedures.

General Accounting

  1. Maintain general ledger entries and financial records.
  2. Reconcile processed transactions and system balances.
  3. Prepare financial reports and support management meetings where required.
  4. Perform any other related duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications and experience

  1. Minimum ACCA level 2 or equivalent (Degree in Finance)
  2. Previous accounting experience.
  3. Proficiency in microsoft office suite
  4. Good analytical skills 
  5. Attention to details.
  6. Ability to work in a team.
  7. Able to handle pressure and respect tight deadlines.
  8. Knowledge of Navision (Dynamics BC 365)
