Job Description
Are you an HSC Leaver or fresh Graduates looking for a first time working expeience?
Leal Communications & Informatics Ltd is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented candidates to join our team as Scanning & Indexing Assistants.
The successful candidates will be part of the project involving scanning, indexing, metadata creation, and quality control of documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scanning: Operate scanners and other digital imaging equipment to digitize physical documents.
- Indexing: Organize and index scanned documents to ensure easy retrieval and access.
- Metadata Creation: Create and manage metadata for digital files to ensure proper categorization and searchability.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of scanned documents and metadata.
- Metadata Entry: Accurately enter data related to scanned documents into a database.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of scanning, indexing, and quality control processes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the project team to ensure project milestones are met and report any issues or discrepancies.
Requirements:
- Education: ( Minimum) Recent graduate or with an HSC pass
- Advantage : Familiarity with scanning equipment and digital imaging software
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role or past experience as internship or trainee.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Word and MS Office standards and practices.
- Basic understanding of digital preservation principles.
