Job Description

Are you an HSC Leaver or fresh Graduates looking for a first time working expeience?

Leal Communications & Informatics Ltd is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented candidates to join our team as Scanning & Indexing Assistants.

The successful candidates will be part of the project involving scanning, indexing, metadata creation, and quality control of documents.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scanning: Operate scanners and other digital imaging equipment to digitize physical documents.
  • Indexing: Organize and index scanned documents to ensure easy retrieval and access.
  • Metadata Creation: Create and manage metadata for digital files to ensure proper categorization and searchability.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of scanned documents and metadata.
  • Metadata Entry: Accurately enter data related to scanned documents into a database.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of scanning, indexing, and quality control processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the project team to ensure project milestones are met and report any issues or discrepancies.

Requirements:

  • Education: ( Minimum) Recent graduate or with an HSC pass
  • Advantage :  Familiarity with scanning equipment and digital imaging software
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or past experience as internship or trainee.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Word and MS Office standards and practices.
  • Basic understanding of digital preservation principles.
