Job Description

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Assist the procurement department and adhere to processes in place
  • Prepare costing sheets
  • Preparation of Sales orders/Purchase orders and follow up of approval
  • Preparation of Shipping instructions to be sent to supplier
  • Liaise with suppliers for prompt delivery of goods and records any order discrepancies
  • Assist in booking of shipping space
  • Follow-up orders till receipt of goods
  • Liaise with logistic department to check documentation
  • Follow up of invoicing & Packing list
  • Liaise with Accounts Dept to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
  • Assist in preparation of Stock analysis and pricing analysis
  • Administrative work
  • Assist in shipment booking, liaison with logistics department.
  • Follow up and ensure timely and complete set of shipping documents are available to share with logistics dept.
  • Constantly update job knowledge.
  • Perform any cognate duties within the scope and nature of job

 Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

The job holder should ideally possess:

  • A Certificate or Diploma in Procurement &/ or logistics or equivalent.
  • A knowledge of international products and country macro and micro environment.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • A knowledge in sales & stocks management, and be customer orientation.
  • Knowledge in costing & accounting tools
  • Good oral & written communication skills

Experience:

  • The ideal job holder should have a minimum of 1 year of working experience in Procurement & or logistics in a dynamic business environment.
