Quantity Surveyor

Job Profile

Rey & Lenferna Ltd is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to ensure the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the MEP Projects & Services Business Unit.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit monthly payment applications & assist in negotiation of Final Account and ensure payment cycle is respected.
  • Value subcontractors progress of works and prepare valuation certificates for payment.
  • Preparing reports, analysis, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
  • Attend Client/Site meetings as and when required.
  • Maintain and update a variation register for each project.
  • Prepare contractual notifications & claims and follow up of status until determination of same.
  • Apply FIDIC suite and other common Standard Conditions of Contract.
  • Assess Legal and Financial implications on projects and report to management.
  • Monitor costs on projects and ensure budget costs are not exceeded.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position.

Knowledge, Skills & Attitude

  • Profound knowledge of the business/industry operations and processes.
  • Well-versed with contracts and safety compliance.
  • Multitasking and ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
  • Ability to work precisely and having an eye for details.
  • Flexibility, organisation, and the ability to think strategically.
  • Ability to build relationship with stakeholders and work as a team.
  • Good communication and presentation abilities.
