Handyman

KEY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION 

The key objectives of the Site Attendant cum Handyman position in the Property department are: 

• Control the in and out of people in the company compound. 

• Assist in maintenance duties such as electrical, plumbing, painting and others. 

COMPETENCIES AND RELATED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

A description of the main competencies and related duties and responsibilities, however not exhaustive, is detailed below: 

Maintenance Work 

• Conduct routine inspections of the compound to identify any maintenance issues or safety hazards. 

• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. 

• Ensure all maintenance tools and equipment are kept in good working condition and stored securely. 

• Assist in the setup and teardown of company events or activities within the compound. 

• Coordinate with external contractors for larger maintenance projects as needed. 

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the compound including waste management and landscaping duties. 

• Document and report any maintenance work completed or required. 

Health & Safety 

• Strictly abide by all Health and Safety policies and procedures of the company. 

Security Control 

• Monitor and control access to the company compound to prevent unauthorised entry. 

• Perform regular security patrols within the compound to ensure the safety of the premises. 

• Respond promptly to any security alarms or incidents, reporting and recording any security breaches or concerns. 

• Maintain clear and accurate records of security incidents and activities. 

• Operate and monitor security systems including CCTV cameras and alarm systems. 

• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. 

General Duties 

• Respond to maintenance requests from employees promptly and efficiently. 

• Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors and contractors. 

• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Senior Maintenance Technician or Asset & Project Manager. 

Training, Learning & Development  

• Participate in any Learning & Development opportunities offered by the company.  

Others  

• Perform all duties strictly in line with the company’s policies and procedures, and on the designated systems. 

• Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned by Management.
