HR LEAD

Espace Maison is looking for a proactive and experienced HR Lead, reporting to the HR Manager, to oversee daily HR operations across its network of stores and support the development of its people and business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment activities, including recruitment strategy, employer branding, selection and onboarding.
• Act as a key HR contact for Store Managers through regular store visits, providing practical guidance and operational support.
• Manage employee relations, attendance and conduct matters within the defined level of authority.
• Oversee HR administration, employee lifecycle processes and the accuracy of employee records.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of payroll inputs, with appropriate controls and effective use of Sicorax HRMS and ViperTex.
• Monitor HR indicators, including recruitment timelines, employee turnover, absenteeism and payroll accuracy.
• Support performance management, employee engagement and the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Mauritian employment legislation and internal HR procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a multi-site or retail environment.
• Good knowledge of Mauritian employment legislation and employee relations practices.
• Sound understanding of payroll administration and HR information systems; knowledge of Sicorax HRMS and ViperTex would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and build effective working relationships with operational managers.
• Willingness to travel regularly between stores.
