Credit Control Lead (Customer Tail End Debt)
Location: Hybrid Working (Home and Office - Ebene Cybercity)
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Credit Control Lead (Customer Tail End Debt) to take ownership of cash collection performance, aged debt reduction, and team leadership across our credit control function. You'll play a key role in protecting cash flow, reducing financial risk, and driving continuous improvement while leading a high-performing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the Credit Control team to achieve cash collection and aged debt targets.
- Drive reductions in debtor days (DSO) and overdue debt balances.
- Manage high-value and high-risk customer accounts, ensuring timely escalation where required.
- Oversee dispute resolution and remove barriers preventing payment.
- Allocate workloads and customer portfolios to maximise team performance.
- Monitor team productivity and provide coaching, development, and support.
- Produce and analyse performance reports, providing insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure collection activities are compliant, accurately recorded, and supported by robust governance processes.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal departments to improve payment performance and address root causes of debt.
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience leading a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable team.
- Strong track record of improving cash collection and reducing aged debt.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and drive performance improvements.
- Experience using finance and CRM systems (Dynamics experience desirable).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
