Job Title: IT Auditor

Location: Mauritius

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Auditor to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of IT systems, cybersecurity controls, governance processes, and risk management practices. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to assess IT environments, identify risks, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform IT audit assignments in accordance with audit methodologies and professional standards.
  • Review and assess IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls, and cybersecurity controls.
  • Evaluate IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Identify technology-related risks and recommend practical solutions.
  • Conduct system, network, database, and information security assessments.
  • Test the effectiveness of IT controls and document audit findings.
  • Prepare audit reports and present recommendations to management and clients.
  • Assist in data analytics and continuous auditing initiatives.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit engagements where IT expertise is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in IT Audit, Information Security, Risk Advisory, or a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of IT controls, cybersecurity principles, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST, or ITIL is an advantage.
  • Understanding of databases, operating systems, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
  • CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications (advantageous)
