What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement procurement and supply management strategies aligned with the hospital’s operational requirements, budget, and business objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation of prices and contractual terms, supplier performance monitoring, and resolution of supply or quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with approved procurement procedures, internal controls, regulatory requirements, and proper documentation throughout the procurement process.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, expiry dates, and consumption trends to prevent stock-outs, overstocking, wastage, and unnecessary costs.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical, Facilities, F&B, and other departments to understand requirements, forecast demand, and ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, distribution, and reconciliation of supplies, ensuring accurate inventory records and regular stock counts are maintained.
  • Analyze procurement, inventory, supplier performance, and cost data to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve efficiency, and support management decision-making.
  • Lead and supervise the Supply/Procurement team, ensuring effective performance, accountability, adherence to procedures, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the General Manager in procurement budgeting, forecasting, strategic sourcing, risk management, and the implementation of initiatives to strengthen the hospital’s overall supply chain.
What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field, with a minimum of 4-5 years’ relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management, preferably in a hospital, healthcare, hospitality, or large-scale operational environment.
  • Proven experience in supplier management, sourcing, contract and price negotiation, procurement planning, cost control, inventory management, stock control, and demand forecasting.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, management, and various internal departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with ERP, procurement, and inventory management systems.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a demonstrated ability to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
