SAFETY & HEALTH - MANAGER

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and manage the Company’s Occupational Safety & Health activities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety & Health laws and regulations.
• Advise Management on safety risks, legal requirements and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement Safety & Health policies, procedures and programmes.
• Monitor safety performance and report key issues and recommendations to Management.
• Lead safety inspections, audits, risk assessments and accident investigations.
• Ensure proper follow-up and closure of safety issues and corrective actions.
• Manage and coordinate Safety & Health activities across all Company locations.
• Lead and develop a strong safety culture among employees.
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Labour and other relevant authorities.
• Manage fire safety, emergency preparedness and fire drills.
• Ensure adequate training, resources and support are provided for effective Safety & Health management.
• Supervise and guide Safety & Health personnel where applicable.
• Carry out any other Safety & Health duties as required by Management.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Occupational Safety & Health.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a managerial position. Passionate, self-driven and attentive to details.
• Outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willing to work in a retail environment.
• Able to manage Safety & Health related issues with rigour.
• Experiences of Safety & Health in a factory environment will be an advantage
