Job Title : Driver and Messenger

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport company staff, documents, materials, equipment and other items as required.
• Carry out timely collection and delivery of documents, parcels and other company items to clients, suppliers, government offices and other designated locations.
• Ensure the safe and secure handling of documents, parcels and company property while in transit.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and appointments.
• Conduct daily checks of the assigned vehicle and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Maintain the vehicle in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle use, mileage, fuel and maintenance.
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials and equipment when required.
• Follow all road safety regulations and company procedures.
• Handle documents and company information with confidentiality.
• Carry out banking, administrative and other errands as assigned by management.
• Perform any other duties related to driving and messenger services as required.

Requirements

• Valid Mauritian driving licence.
• Previous experience as a Driver/Messenger will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of roads and routes in Mauritius.
• Reliable, punctual and responsible.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work flexible hours when required.
• Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading.
• Able to handle documents and company property responsibly and confidentially.
• Clean driving record
