Safety & Health Officer

Overview of the Role:

In this role, you will ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety practices across assigned operations by promoting compliance with OSHA 2005, supporting risk management processes, and fostering a proactive safety culture to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all team members.

-This position will be based at our Head Office in Bagatelle for the Restaurant Cluster.

Main Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain a Health & Safety Management System in line with OSHA 2005.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Advise and support Management in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Conduct and document risk assessments, inspections, and audits.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, risk assessments, and statutory reports.
• Develop effective communication channels on Health & Safety matters.
• Design and deliver training programmes and awareness sessions.
• Ensure proper emergency preparedness (fire drills, evacuation plans, first aid readiness).
• Assess safety needs (e.g. PPE, medical examinations) and advise Management.
• Monitor H&S performance indicators and recommend improvements.
• Assist the Management in departmental projects.

Candidate's Profile:

• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Minimum two years experience in Occupational Safety & Health (hospitality sector would be  an advantage).
• Strong report writing and analytical skills.
• Good training, presentation and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 2005 and related regulations.
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
• Valid driving License (required for site visits).
