Job Description

 The Driver works cooperatively with members of the Logistics team and is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of company goods, materials, employees and company clients.  His role includes adhering to traffic regulations, maintaining the vehicle, and ensuring timely and secure deliveries. The company vehicle Driver plays a crucial role in upholding the company's commitment to reliability and professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe transport of employees to and from work or any other set destination.
  • Safely operate the company vehicle in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations, ensuring the well-being of himself and others on the road.
  • Execute timely and accurate deliveries and pick-ups of company goods or materials to designated locations, maintaining a high level of reliability and confidentiality.
  • Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure efficiency and prompt deliveries, considering factors such as traffic and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct routine inspections, report any mechanical issues promptly, and ensure the cleanliness and overall good condition of the company van.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including delivery records and any other required paperwork.
  • Interact professionally with clients, customers, employees or suppliers during deliveries and pick-ups, maintaining a positive impression of the company.
  • Follow company policies and procedures related to driving, vehicle usage, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the logistics team, providing updates on delivery status, delays, or other relevant information.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work hours and duties, especially during peak periods or unforeseen changes in the delivery schedule.
  • Attending in-house and mandatory workshops and relevant trainings.
  • Any other reasonable / cognate duties assigned by Management.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and delivery.
  • Have a professional appearance (well groomed) and demeanor all the time.
  • Be punctual, proactive and organised.
Qualifications required:

  • Minimum SC.
  • 1- 2 years’ experience in similar position.
  • Holder of a valid driver’s licence for a microbus of 15 seats.
