Irrigation Operations Officer

Agriterra is looking for a proactive, organised and passionate Irrigation Operations Officer to join our team and contribute to the planning, operation and continuous improvement of our irrigation systems.

You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of our irrigation systems across the estate.

Main duties and responsibilities

•Planning and coordinating daily irrigation operations across designated zones.

•Supervising irrigation employees and contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.

•Monitoring irrigation systems and coordinating maintenance and repair activities.

•Conducting field inspections and ensuring accurate operational, asset and payroll records.

•Supporting irrigation planning, budgeting and continuous improvement projects.

•Promoting water efficiency, safety and operational excellence.

Candidate Profile

•Hold a University Degree in Agriculture, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

•Possess a valid driving licence (an advantage).

•Be passionate about agriculture and sustainable water management.

•Have strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.

•Be able to work independently and collaboratively in both office and field environments.

•Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
