Reporting to the Head of Patient Safety & Clinical Effectiveness, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing operational and administrative support in the day-to-day delivery of clinical audit, patient safety, clinical training and competency assessment activities across C-Care Group. The role will support the implementation of quality and safety initiatives by assisting with clinical audit cycles, incident tracking, OSCE and competency assessment coordination, and clinical training logistics, while ensuring that quality and safety activities are effectively supported, data is accurately captured and reported, and documentation and compliance records are maintained to a high standard. The position will contribute to embedding safe, evidence-based clinical practice across all sites through the reliable delivery of audit schedules, maintenance of quality and training records, timely follow-up of incidents and CAPAs, and ensuring that OSCE and competency assessment tools are organized and ready for deployment as directed.
What you will be doing:
- Assist in implementing the annual clinical audit calendar, including collecting audit data, completing standardised audit tools, and compiling findings for review.
- Support clinical investigations into adverse events, near-misses, and patient complaints by gathering documentation, assisting with RCA data collection, and tracking CAPAs to closure under supervision.
- Assist in the preparation, updating, and organisation of OSCE checklists and competency assessment tools, ensuring assessor packs, schedules, and documentation are ready for assessment sessions.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for clinical training programmes, simulation drills, and competency assessment sessions, including coordinating schedules, booking venues, preparing materials, and confirming participant attendance.
- Maintain and update the incident reporting database, highlighting open findings and overdue actions for follow-up.
- Maintain accurate records of training attendance, competency assessment outcomes, and certification renewals, and assist in generating compliance reports and dashboards.
- Utilise digital tools and quality management systems to organise audit data, support performance reporting, and assist in the preparation of presentations and committee papers.
- Assist in the preparation and, where required, delivery of clinical policies, SOPs, clinical quality reports, audit summaries, and supporting documentation for governance review.
- Coordinate with clinical departments, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health teams to support audit activities, action plan follow-up, and dissemination of guidelines and protocols.
- Assist in organising documentation, evidence files, and compliance records in preparation for accreditation surveys, regulatory inspections, and internal audits.
- Liaise with clinical departments and site teams to facilitate audit data collection, training coordination, and follow-up of quality improvement actions.
- Promote a supportive and professional approach that encourages the reporting of incidents and near-misses and supports the patient safety culture across the Group.
- Support compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance frameworks by maintaining organised and up-to-date documentation.
- Ensure SOPs, competency records, and evidence files are accurately maintained and readily available for audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews.
- Assist in maintaining audit-ready records in line with applicable quality, compliance, and data protection requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional quality improvement initiatives and projects as assigned.
- Support the implementation of new clinical tools, digital platforms, and quality improvement methodologies at the operational level.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance patient safety, clinical quality, and operational effectiveness.
