Extrusion Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines to produce medical tubing according to procedures and production requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to extrusion machinery and processes
• Perform calibration activities on extrusion equipment
• Carry out machining activities using lathe and milling machines
• Complete accurate documentation and record equipment interventions in the equipment management software
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining product quality
• Ensure extrusion processes comply with company quality requirements and applicable standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience working as a Technician
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems
• Experience with lathe and milling machines
• Knowledge of extrusion processes and machinery would be an advantage
• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of Sage X3 and QCBD would be an advantage
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Curious, passionate, and willing to learn
• Good teamwork and communication skills

Eligibility Criteria

• Experience in extrusion or a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
• Ability to work with machinery and perform hands-on technical tasks
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks when required
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
