Job Description
ESP Landscapers is looking for a hands-on Site Supervisor to lead our landscape maintenance teams. You will manage day-to-day site operations, make sure work is delivered on time and to a high standard, use resources efficiently, and keep our clients satisfied while following safety and quality standards. You will report to the Operations Officer – Maintenance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule daily tasks so jobs are completed on time and meet client deadlines
- Make the best use of equipment, materials and labour while keeping costs under control
- Make sure all services meet internal and client quality standards
- Report on progress and work volumes in daily meetings with the Operations Officer
- Help improve site procedures and standard practices
- Lead, motivate and coordinate the landscaping team, giving out tasks according to each person's skills
- Track daily progress against the work plan and attend site meetings
- Train and develop team members, and give regular feedback on performance
- Make sure safety rules are strictly followed on site
- Maintain discipline, including attendance, clocking in and out, and leave
- Submit weekly reports on progress, quality and records
- Act as the main on-site contact for clients
- Monitor client satisfaction and deal with concerns early
- Oversee the maintenance and good working order of all equipment
- Manage stock of plants, fertilisers, tools and supplies
- Prepare payroll information for site staff accurately and on time
- Higher School Certificate (HSC), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid knowledge of landscaping, irrigation, pest control, plant species and equipment maintenance
- Proven experience leading a team, with good administrative skills, including stock and payroll
- Good knowledge of health and safety practices
- A valid driving licence (First Aid certification is an advantage)
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and communication skills
- Able to handle several priorities and meet deadlines
