Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Verify reservations, room assignments, guest details and payment information.
- Provide guests with information about the hotel, facilities, services and local attractions.
- Handle guest requests, enquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Answer and transfer telephone calls and respond to emails and guest messages.
- Manage room keys/cards and maintain proper records.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping regarding room status, arrivals, departures and room changes.
- Process guest payments, invoices and other reception-related transactions accurately.
- Ensure all guest accounts and required documents are properly completed.
- Assist with airport transfers, restaurant bookings and other guest arrangements when required.
- Maintain accurate records and complete the daily reception reports and handover.
- Communicate important guest requests and operational matters to the relevant departments.
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, security requirements and service standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional reception area.
- Handle guest information confidentially and professionally.
- Assist other departments when operationally required.
- Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by management.
Key Skills and Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel front office or customer-service position is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, friendly and customer-focused attitude.
- Good knowledge of English; French is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Good computer skills and ability to use hotel reservation/HMS systems.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Well-presented and professional at all times.
