Job Description

Stock & Inventory Management

  • Receive, check and record incoming goods and materials.
  • Verify quantities and items received against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Store goods properly and ensure items are organised and easily accessible.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and inventory levels.
  • Issue materials and supplies against authorised requests.
  • Daily Monitor stock levels and inform management when items need to be reordered.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate and report discrepancies between physical stock and records.
  • Ensure proper rotation of stock and minimise wastage, damage or expiry.
  • Keep the store and storage areas clean, organised and secure.
  • Ensure goods are properly labelled and stored in designated locations.
  • Maintain appropriate storage conditions for different types of materials.
  • Ensure proper handling of fragile, heavy or sensitive items.
  • Monitor the condition of stored goods and report any damage.
  • Assist with proper loading and unloading of deliveries when required.
  • Coordinate regular with the purchasing, administration and other departments regarding stock requirements.
  • Assist with stock reconciliation and month-end inventory procedures.
  • File delivery notes, purchase orders, invoices and other relevant documents.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum School Certificate with a qualification in logistics, warehousing or a related field one year experience will be an advantage.
  • Basic computer literacy is required.
  • May be able to handle pressure.
