About the Role

Our client is an established financial services organisation operating within international financial markets. The company provides access to global financial markets and is seeking a Trader to join its Trading team in Mauritius.

The successful candidate will support daily trading operations, monitor market movements and pricing, prepare financial analysis and reports, and assist with managing client exposure and trading systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage complex daily reports using Microsoft Excel for internal and external purposes.
• Stay up to date with market information and monitor trends across major asset classes.
• Prepare regular financial analysis reports on movements and fluctuations in international financial markets.
• Conduct detailed testing of internal software and system developments related to trading operations.
• Identify potential risks to the business and escalate them to Senior Traders.
• Monitor internal and external pricing to ensure competitive trading rates.
• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Trading Department.
• Monitor and manage client exposure.
• Support the maintenance and effective operation of trading systems.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

• 5 years relevant professional experience within financial markets.
• Good understanding of the Forex and CFD industry.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability and willingness to work shifts.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude with excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritise and meet strict deadlines.

Desirable Experience & Skills

• Previous experience within a brokerage environment.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Knowledge of MathWorks / MATLAB.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
