Driver (Storekeeper)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collect and pick up goods, materials and spare parts from local suppliers as required
2. Carry out all Maintenance-related transfers safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures
3. Ensure the proper upkeep, cleanliness and good running condition of assigned company vehicles
4. Conduct regular checks on fuel levels and ensure timely refuelling of vehicles
5. Immediately report any vehicle defects, abnormalities, damage or maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager
6. Comply with all company road safety, Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality and vehicle operating procedures
7. Assist the Storekeeper with inventory management, stock-taking, tagging, identification and issuing of spare parts
8. Assist in maintaining the organisation, cleanliness and proper storage of spare parts, Maintenance Store items, power tools and specialised tools
9. Follow the work planning and instructions provided by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor or Storekeeper
10. Maintain good housekeeping and personal hygiene standards
11. Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor to support the smooth operation of the Maintenance Department

Qualifications:

1. Holder of a valid driving licence
2. Basic knowledge of vehicle checks, upkeep and minor maintenance requirements
3. Good knowledge of road safety and Health & Safety practices
4. Reliable, punctual, responsible and safety conscious
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
