At Ya Technologies, we build and operate modern software platforms for the online gaming and sports betting industry. Our products power player web and mobile applications, retail solutions, and back-office systems across sportsbook, casino, and virtual gaming.

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will spend your days in code: growing our Playwright + TypeScript framework, turning manual regression scenarios into fast and deterministic automated tests, and keeping the CI pipeline green and trustworthy. You will work alongside developers and our QA engineers in Mauritius and Israel, with a direct line into how features are built and released.

We work AI-first, using modern AI coding assistants to accelerate development and testing, and we are looking for someone who embraces these tools while applying strong engineering judgment.

What You'll Do

• Own the architecture of our Playwright + TypeScript framework: page objects, fixtures, reusable utilities, test data management, and test isolation.
• Expand the automated regression suite by converting manual regression scenarios into reliable automated tests.
• Develop API-level tests against backend services using typed API clients generated from our OpenAPI specs, and use the API for test data setup and teardown so tests run safely in parallel.
• Validate end-to-end user workflows across player web, mobile web, retail/POS, and back-office applications.
• Own the health of the automation pipeline in GitHub Actions: investigate failures, eliminate flaky tests, and keep regression results trustworthy.
• Triage failures using traces, videos, and logs to separate product defects from test defects, and file clear bug reports.
• Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) daily to write, refactor, and debug tests, validating the generated code to the same standard as hand-written code.
• Work with developers to make features testable, and pair with manual testers so the whole team can contribute to the suite.
• Maintain regression documentation in ClickUp and report on automation coverage and regression results.

What We're Looking For

Required

• 4+ years of hands-on test automation experience, with at least 2 years on Playwright.
• Strong TypeScript development skills: you write tests and framework code that developers are happy to review and maintain.
• Experience designing or significantly restructuring an automation framework, not only adding tests to an existing one.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated REST API tests.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions, including debugging failures and reducing flaky tests.
• Practical daily use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar).
• Comfortable with Git, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience applying AI beyond code generation: test generation, log analysis, failure investigation, or building AI-powered QA tools.
• Experience within sports betting, casino, or iGaming platforms, or knowledge of betting concepts such as odds, settlement, wallets, and bonuses.
• Experience testing retail/POS systems, multi-tenant platforms, or mobile web applications.
• Familiarity with ClickUp or similar test management tools.
