Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishing and maintaining the Company's Compliance and Anti-money Laundering ("AML")policies and controls, documented in the Compliance and AML manuals. These will containthe rules and procedures which all employees of the Company must abide by.

Managing the Compliance/AML functions of the Company as per the regulatory requirementsassigned by the DFSA and Company policies

Liaising with regulators in respect of applications; submission of periodic reports and returnsand preparing for DFSA risk assessment visits

Responsible for all compliance issues directly related to financial services at the office. Thisincludes making sure that the Company is at all times authorized to carry out financial servicesin accordance with the provisions of the rules of the DFSA as well as maintain the necessarylicenses and making appropriate ad hoc notifications

Monitoring the Compliance and AML activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure compliancewith the Company's policies and regulatory requirements including permitted activities,conflicts, management arrangements, communications and marketing, client acceptance,submission of regulatory returns and complaints handling.

Monitoring the Company's conduct of business to ensure that all breaches of the DFSA rulesare identified quickly and dealt with appropriately

Investigating and reporting any compliance breaches to the Board, and when required to theregulatory authorities, while ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to correct anydeviations

Record keeping on all declarations, functions, assessments and correspondence done inrelation to the Company and its operations internally and externally

Ongoing monitoring and review of KYC and related procedures to ensure consistency withCompany policies which are extrapolated tram AML and other regulations

Assess and challenge the Compliance, AML, and risk controls periodically to ensure they areoperational and viable

Obtaining and making appropriate use of any findings, recommendations, guidance,directives, resolutions, sanctions, notices or other conclusions issued by the U.A.C.government, any U.A.E. government department, the Central Bank of the U.A.E. or theAMLSCU, any UAE enforcement agency, the Financial Action Task Force, the DFSA and theUnited Nations Security Council

Establish and maintain appropriate periodic reporting procedures to keep the managementfully aware of AML and other compliance requirements by reporting to, and through periodicmeetings with, the Board and senior management on the appropriateness and effectives ofthe Firm's compliance and AML systems and controls

Providing a source of ongoing assurance regarding the satisfactory Compliance environmentin the office

Assessing and ensuring the adequacy of internal procedures for reporting Suspicious ActivitiesReports ("SAR") in line with the regulatory requirements

Ensuring adequate Compliance and AML training for all internal staff so that they are awareof their responsibilities including, compliance induction training, briefing management onspecific compliance issues in connection with current business or regulation and anyanticipated changes thereto.

Adherence to Code of conduct, Regulations and Internal Policies
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree with relevant professional qualifications in AML and Compliance with 8+ years of work experience

Proven experience in Compliance, Risk and Audit in financial institution environment.

Experience of working in Compliance in Private Banking, Wealth is preferred
