Handyperson (Painter)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Form III and/or Vocational/Technical Course.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Handyperson, Maintenance Assistant, or in a similar role.
• Previous experience in painting and related finishing works is highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance, including painting, hardware, fixtures, minor repairs, and basic electrical appliances.
• Good practical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in a maintenance environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Maintenance

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance works as instructed by the Maintenance Department.
• Perform general repair and maintenance works, including painting, touch-ups, hardware, fixtures, and minor repairs.
• Assist with maintenance of electrical appliances and other hotel equipment, within the scope of the role and under supervision.
• Keep all equipment clean and in good working condition, minimising downtime.
• Notify superiors promptly of any equipment, system, or maintenance issues.

• Assist in various maintenance and project works as instructed by superiors.
• Carry out assigned maintenance tasks and keep the supervisor updated on progress.

• Perform all duties in accordance with health and safety standards and hotel procedures.
