Job Description

Responsibility and accountability to maintain positive relations with Suppliers, Freight Agents and internal Customers, evaluating best supply options cost effective.

The Procurement Officer must also ensure that all aspects of a logistics team, such as shipping, warehousing, are working together to fill orders and deliver products on a timely basis.

Additionally, contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice procurement vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to support and improve operational performance.


RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES 

  • Liase with local suppliers for new orders and ensure delivery of goods in a timely basis
  • ERD (Estimate Receipt Date) is maintained accurately on Incadea and updated at each steps mentioned above
  • Claim any discrepancy/ damaged goods to supplier or insurance as per the claim procedure   
  •  Technical inquiries are sent and replied
  • Availability and delays are communicated accurately to concerned person and information are updated on Incadea    
  •  Work in collaboration with the Procurement Coordinator in reviewing and negotiating existing agreements with freight forwarders to optimize commercial terms
  •   Manage relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders along with the Procurement Coordinator
  • Select and develop new suppliers and freight forwarders
  •   Provide updates to Brand Manager on a fortnight basis on the following tasks:
  • Help in organizing sales of non-moving stock
  • Control warehouse stock integrity by closing sample locations on a weekly basis
  • Creation of new parts on Incadea
  • Conduct data base cleaning
  • Inform concerned persons upon arrival of parts as per invoicing

SKILLS 

The Procurement Officer should have the following competencies: expertise in procurement and warehouse management, problem-solving, negotiation skills, excellent communication skills, supplier relationship management skills, strong analytical skills, a positive influencer, critical thinking, speaking and active listening. Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy, time management, ability to set personally challenging goals, stress tolerance, flexible attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask are also a pre-requisite for this job.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • At least 5 years of work experience; of which at least 2 years in similar job
  • Education: At least a Diploma in management or business studies or supply chain/procurement and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in a dealership and parts is an advantage
  • Languages: Written and spoken French and English
  • Proven analytical background
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access and industry-specific analysis software
  • Other: Driver’s license is an advantage
