Job Description
About Us
Kyka Group is a fast-growing organisation operating in the turnkey real estate sector, with a holding company and several operating subsidiaries across France and internationally.
As the Group continues to expand, we are strengthening our Finance function and are looking for a General Accountant to join our team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the General Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the entity’s financial information. Acting as the Finance Manager’s right hand, the role goes beyond day-to-day accounting: it combines accounting expertise, financial analysis, internal control, process improvement and the supervision of Back Office activities.
The General Accountant will act as an essential link between transactional accounting, financial control and Group-level reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Closing
- Take ownership of the entity’s accounting records and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including the Balance Sheet and P&L.
- Manage the month-end closing process and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- Calculate, review and post period-end entries, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, depreciation and other cut-off adjustments, in accordance with the matching principle.
- Perform regular account reconciliations and ensure all balance sheet accounts are properly supported and cleared.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and unusual balances.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.
2. Back Office Supervision & Data Quality
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the dedicated Back Office Accountant.
- Review accounting entries and ensure that transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
- Act as the first level of control between transactional processing and senior Finance review.
- Ensure that 100% of expense lines are correctly allocated to the appropriate cost centre and/or project.
- Work closely with the Back Office to resolve errors and continuously improve data quality.
- Lead accounting data clean-up initiatives, including:
- Full account reconciliations;
- Clearing suspense and unexplained balances;
- Identifying and correcting duplicate entries;
- Cleaning up supplier and customer master data.
3. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Establish and maintain effective accounting controls and review procedures.
- Perform key control checks before monthly closing, particularly on VAT, duplicate transactions, cut-off and account reconciliations.
- Identify recurring errors and implement corrective actions to prevent them from happening again.
- Define, document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting and control processes.
- Standardise working methods between the Back Office and the Finance team.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation to improve efficiency, reliability and processing times.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Group’s finance systems and processes.
4. Reporting & Group Coordination
- Deliver reliable and reviewed financial figures to the Finance Manager by D+4.
- Ensure that entity-level reporting is consistent with the Group’s reporting requirements.
- Support the consolidation and preparation of Group-level financial information.
- Coordinate with other Finance team members and operating teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data.
- Escalate material accounting, financial or operational issues to the Finance Manager in a timely manner.
Candidate Profile
Knowledge & Experience
- ACCA Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Miinimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a multi-entity or fast-growing environment.
- Strong understanding of general accounting, financial statements, month-end closing and cut-off principles.
- Good knowledge of VAT and accounting compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with an ERP or accounting platform; Pennylane experience is a strong advantage.
- Experience in financial analysis, reconciliations and internal controls.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify issues, understand their root causes and implement practical solutions.
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Ability to review and challenge accounting work constructively.
- Comfortable working across Finance, Back Office and operational teams.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
- Fluent in French, both written and spoken
- Interest for French accounting.
Personal Qualities

- Strong sense of responsibility for the quality and accuracy of financial information.
- Collaborative and supportive leadership style.
- Able to guide and develop the Back Office team while maintaining appropriate control and accountability.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
What We Offer
- A long-term career opportunity within a financially solid and fast-growing Group.
