Sales & Service Technician

The role combines automotive technology, technical installations, customer service and sales, making it ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work as well as dealing directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Company products and services within the automotive industry.
• Install, configure, service and troubleshoot Customer vehicle tracking and related products.
• Provide technical support and assistance to customers and resolve installation or system-related issues professionally and efficiently.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools, test equipment and installed vehicle tracking system in good working order.
• Complete installation, service, costing, parts and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain appropriate technical knowledge and stay up to date with Company products, installation procedures and technical requirements.
• Attend meetings and assist with technical or operational projects when required.
• The successful candidate will be required to remain available by phone during standby periods and attend to customer emergencies when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in automotive electrical/electronic work.
• An Auto Electrical qualification is advantageous.
• Previous vehicle tracking installation experience is preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's licence.
• Good practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage customer requirements professionally.
• A professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Willingness to undertake both technical and customer-facing responsibilities.
