Nursing Home Attendant

We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Nursing Home Attendant to join our healthcare team at La Clinique Mauricienne.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general cleanliness (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, disinfecting) of the assigned section according to the schedule set by the supervisor.
• Assist with basic patient care under medical supervision (helping patients to get up, wash, dress, walk, and eat).
• Participate in the distribution of meals and laundry to patients.
• Make beds and change bed linens as needed.
• Ensure used linens are sent to the laundry department and that clean linens are delivered to patient rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of public toilets and other common areas.
• Escort and assist patients to other departments such as radiology or the laboratory, using wheelchairs or carts.
• Retrieve medications from the pharmacy for patients as requested by medical staff.
• Assist medical staff with other tasks related to patient well-being.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum School Certificate (SC).
• Previous experience in a similar position is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients and the public.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
• Organized, autonomous, and respectful of instructions and hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
