Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Junior Data Analyst & Coordinator supports the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of sustainability and certification-related initiatives across agricultural operations. The incumbent is responsible for collecting, consolidating, validating, and maintaining operational and sustainability -related data, supporting reporting, compliance and certification processes, including the Bonsucro certification, coordinating field data collection activities, verification activities and ensuring that all documentation, records and audit evidence are properly maintained. The role contributes to the monitoring of sustainability performance, the implementation of responsible agricultural practices, and the delivery of sustainability programmes and projects across the business.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sustainability Data Management

  • Collect, consolidate, validate, and maintain ESG and sustainability-related data from agricultural operations.
  • Perform data entry, analysis, and reporting to support sustainability performance monitoring.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of sustainability databases and records.
  • Prepare periodic sustainability reports and dashboards as required.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of sustainability dashboards, databases and reporting systems.

Certification & Compliance Support

  • Assist in the coordination of the Bonsucro certification process, including data gathering and documentation.
  • Support gap assessments by collecting relevant operational and compliance information.
  • Maintain certification records and evidence files required for audits and annual verifications.
  • Ensure audit documentation is organized, updated, and readily accessible.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of corrective actions arising from audits, assessments and certification reviews.


Field Data Collection & Coordination

  • Coordinate with operational teams to collect field data related to sustainability indicators and agricultural practices.
  • Conduct site visits and field operation audits as and when required.
  • Monitor data submission timelines and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely reporting.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of sustainable agriculture practices across operations.
  • Support the collection, management and analysis of spatial and GIS-related data to support agricultural, environmental and sustainability monitoring.
  • Assist with field mapping, data visualisation and geographic analysis where required.


Audit & Documentation Management

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and filing systems.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required data and records.
  • Liaise with operational teams to ensure compliance documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Maintain document control systems and ensure traceability of sustainability, environmental and certification records.


Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate sustainability data collection and reporting.
  • Support communications with certification bodies, auditors, and sustainability consultants when required.
  • Provide administrative support for sustainability projects and initiatives.
  • Support the coordination and implementation of Group sustainability projects and initiatives across operational teams.
  • Support awareness and capacity-building activities related to sustainability and the certification process and practices.


CANDIDATE’S PROFILE

Qualifications Required:

  • 1–2 years of experience in sustainability, agriculture, environmental management, GIS, data analysis, or related fields.
  • Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Geography, GIS, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
  • Experience with ESG reporting, certification processes or GIS would be an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and document management skills.
  • Ability to compile and present information clearly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in outdoor/field conditions for data collection and internal auditing of operations.
  • Knowledge of sustainability standards and certification schemes such as Bonsucro would be an advantage.
