Job Description

A Team Manager is responsible for managing and evaluating the performance of team members and ensuring proper work organization with respect to time, cost, and agreed quality standards. 


Key Responsibilities: 

TEAM DEVELOPMENT 

  • Take necessary steps to identify training and development needs of team members and ensure that they are met. 
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and training to ensure continuous transfer of knowledge and experience. 
  • Cascade down section objectives into individual objectives, monitor performance and conduct employee performance reviews within agreed deadlines. 
  • Build the team by empowering and motivating team members. 
  • Take necessary steps to ensure that backup people are trained and always available for relevant tasks. 
  • Promote Maureva’s values amongst team members. 

TEAM MANAGEMENT 

  • Manage leaves of team members efficiently. 
  • Ensure that each team member correctly understands the team’s objectives. 
  • Review the team staffing requirements and contribute to the recruitment, appointment and induction of staff as and when required. 
  • Take the necessary steps to maintain the work environment according to Maureva’s standards. 
  • Monitor the account’s performance and objectives with respect to deadlines and expected targets and take corrective actions as and when required. 
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to ensure effective flow of communication. 
  • Devise creative ways and methods to boost team engagement and morale. 

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING 

  • Provide regular reports on the team’s performance, workload allocation, and productivity to the Service Delivery Manager/ Business Operations Lead / Head of Operations and Top management. 
  • Analyze different elements of operations on an account and devise a plan of action for clearing backlogs. 
  • Set priorities for effective time management and resource allocation. 
  • Deputize for the Service Delivery Manager as and when required. 

FUNCTIONAL SOFTWARE ENHANCEMENT 

  • Evaluate and recommend new enhancements for the software. 

QUALITY ASSURANCE 

  • Abide by IATA rules and regulations and ISO quality standards. 
  • Formulate or validate innovative work standards proposed by team members for preventive and corrective actions wherever needed. 


Profile and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field  
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience, including experience in team supervision or management  
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and monitor team performance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry would be an advantage
